Riedel Performance Cabernet/Merlot
Description
The ultimate loudspeaker for bold red wines. A generous bowl that smooths out tannins and emphasizes fruit balance.
Additional Details
The Riedel Performance Cabernet/Merlot glass is made for Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Bordeaux-style blends. It is made from fine crystal with Riedel's signature light optic bowl, which increases the inner surface area to lift aroma and flavour. Lightweight, durable and dishwasher safe.
The Performance Difference: Featuring the signature "Optic Impact," this glass uses light optic ridges to increase the inner surface area, creating an astounding effect on the wine's bouquet.
Why this shape works: Designed for complex, high-tannin reds, this generous glass allows the bouquet to develop fully. It smooths out rough edges, emphasizing the fruit and playing down bitter tannins to achieve perfect balance.
Recommended for: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Bordeaux (Red), Cabernet Franc.
