Frequently Asked Questions

Glassware, wine, events and corporate hospitality. If your question isn't answered here, get in touch — we reply to every enquiry.

Can I hire Riedel glassware instead of buying it?

Yes. VineVibe offers Riedel glassware for hire as well as for purchase, which suits events, private functions and corporate hospitality where you need quality stemware for a single occasion. Hire is arranged per event rather than booked online: use the "Enquire to Hire" button on any glassware product page, or contact us with your date, guest numbers and the varietals being served, and we will confirm availability and terms.

How is glassware packaged and shipped, and what happens if it arrives broken?

Riedel crystal is shipped in protective packaging designed for stemware, and orders are dispatched within South Africa. If anything arrives damaged, contact us as soon as you unpack the order — keep the packaging and send photographs of the damage, and we will arrange a replacement or refund for the affected pieces. Shipping rates and delivery times are confirmed at checkout for your address.

When will wine be available to buy directly on the site?

Online wine sales are not live yet. The wines on this site are currently listed for discovery, with purchases handled by direct enquiry so we can confirm vintage availability and quantities with the producer first. Contact us about any wine in the collection and we will arrange it. Online checkout for wine is planned, and the collection pages will be updated when it opens.

Do you handle corporate gifting and hospitality?

Yes. VineVibe works with corporate clients on branded gifting, staff and client hospitality, guided tastings for company functions, and glassware supply for restaurants and venues. Some product ranges are reserved for corporate hospitality accounts and become visible once you are signed in to a corporate account. Get in touch with your requirements and budget and we will put together a proposal.

Which Riedel collection should I choose?

Every Riedel range is grape-specific, so the bowl is shaped around the varietal in all of them. What differs is how the glass is made. Vinum is machine-made and the most practical entry into grape-specific stemware. Veloce is machine-blown, finer, and dishwasher-safe. Performance adds the optic impact bowl, which increases the wine's contact area and lifts its aroma. Sommeliers is handmade and mouth-blown, and is the flagship range for fine wine and collectors. The comparison table on our Riedel page sets these out side by side.

Where is VineVibe based, and where do you deliver?

VineVibe is based in Somerset West in the Western Cape, South Africa, in the heart of the Cape winelands. We deliver nationally within South Africa. For events, tastings and glassware hire we work primarily across the Western Cape — contact us to confirm whether we can cover your location.

Do you offer wine tastings and pairing experiences?

Yes. VineVibe hosts bespoke guided tastings and curated wine experiences for corporate functions, private parties and special occasions, including food and wine pairing experiences. These are arranged individually around your group size, venue and the wines you want to explore rather than sold as a fixed package. Contact us with your date and guest numbers to start planning.

Which producers do you work with?

VineVibe curates wines from specialist boutique South African producers, connecting them with the hospitality industry and with private collectors. Current partners include Capelands and Francis Wines. Full profiles for each producer are on our Producers page.
